It just dawned on me that there are a few rooms that we finished eons ago and I failed to update for one stupid reason or another. Millie's bedroom being one of them. Here it is. My colour inspiration came from a cute little flamingo T-shirt that she had. I thought that the colours were a nice throwback to the 1950's without being as literal as a candy apple red bedroom with cherry's and checkerboard everywhere.
The motif that is carried through the room is a stylised flower. 
We have subtle vintage touches scattered throughout, ric rac tie-backs, bakelite knobs, a midcentury modern chair, a suitcase that belonged to Mila's Great, Great Grandmother and some of my favourite books that mum has held onto all these years.
Dee, our neighbour, made this patchwork quilt for Mila.
Mila even has a miniature closet for her miniature clothes.
